Judges 9:5
അവൻ ഒഫ്രയിൽ തന്റെ അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു യെരുബ്ബാലിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായി തന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരായ എഴുപതുപേരെയും ഒരു കല്ലിന്മേൽ വെച്ചു കൊന്നു; എന്നാൽ യെരുബ്ബാലിന്റെ ഇളയമകനായ യോഥാം ഒളിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു ശേഷിച്ചു.

യെരുബ്ബാലിന്റെ എഴുപതു പുത്രന്മാരുംകൂടെ നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കുന്നതോ ഒരുത്തൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കുന്നതോ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഏതു നല്ലതു? ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അസ്ഥിയും മാംസവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ എന്നു ശെഖേമിലെ സകലപൌരന്മാരോടും പറവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

ശമർയ്യയിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ അവൻ ശമർയ്യയിൽ ആഹാബിന്നു ശേഷിച്ചവരെ ഒക്കെയും യഹോവ ഏലീയാവോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനപ്രകാരം ഒട്ടൊഴിയാതെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
