കുറെക്കാലം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു കോതമ്പുകെയ്ത്തുകാലത്തു ശിംശോൻ ഒരു കോലാട്ടിൻ കുട്ടിയെയുംകൊണ്ടു തന്റെ ഭാര്യയെ കാണ്മാൻ ചെന്നു: ശയനഗൃഹത്തിൽ എന്റെ ഭാര്യയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ഞാൻ കടന്നുചെല്ലട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവളുടെ അപ്പനോ അവനെ അകത്തു കടപ്പാൻ സമ്മതിക്കാതെ:
