അവൻ കവിണ്ണുവീണു. ഇങ്ങനെ ദാവീദ് ഒരു കവിണയും ഒരു കല്ലുംകൊണ്ടു ഫെലിസ്ത്യനെ ജയിച്ചു, ഫെലിസ്ത്യനെ കൊന്നു മുടിച്ചു; എന്നാൽ ദാവീദിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ വാൾ ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.
