Genesis 30:41
ബലമുള്ള ആടുകൾ ചനയേല്ക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കൊമ്പുകളെ കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു ചനയേൽക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാക്കോബ് ആ കൊമ്പുകളെ പാത്തികളിൽ ആടുകളുടെ കണ്ണിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചു.

| did conceive, | הַמְקֻשָּׁרוֹת֒ | hamquššārôt | hahm-koo-sha-ROTE |
| that Jacob | וְשָׂ֨ם | wĕśām | veh-SAHM |
| laid | יַֽעֲקֹ֧ב | yaʿăqōb | ya-uh-KOVE |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| rods the | הַמַּקְל֛וֹת | hammaqlôt | ha-mahk-LOTE |
| before the eyes | לְעֵינֵ֥י | lĕʿênê | leh-ay-NAY |
| of the cattle | הַצֹּ֖אן | haṣṣōn | ha-TSONE |
| gutters, the in | בָּרֳהָטִ֑ים | bārŏhāṭîm | ba-roh-ha-TEEM |
| that they might conceive | לְיַחְמֵ֖נָּה | lĕyaḥmēnnâ | leh-yahk-MAY-na |
| among the rods. | בַּמַּקְלֽוֹת׃ | bammaqlôt | ba-mahk-LOTE |
