എന്നാൽ ഫറവോൻ ഈ പ്രാവശ്യവും തന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കി; ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയച്ചതുമില്ല.

| would he let | שִׁלַּ֖ח | šillaḥ | shee-LAHK |
| the people | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| go. | הָעָֽם׃ | hāʿām | ha-AM |
