അവർ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു മരുഭൂമിയിലേക്കുള്ള വഴിക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു; പട അവരെ പിന്തുടർന്നു; പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുള്ളവരെ അവർ അതതിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യേവെച്ചു സംഹരിച്ചു.
