Amos 1:2
അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതോ യഹോവ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു ഗർജ്ജിച്ചു, യെരൂശലേമിൽനിന്നു തന്റെ നാദം കേൾപ്പിക്കും. അപ്പോൾ ഇടയന്മാരുടെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങൾ ദുഃഖിക്കും; കർമ്മേലിന്റെ കൊടുമുടി വാടിപ്പോകും.

| will roar | מִצִּיּ֣וֹן | miṣṣiyyôn | mee-TSEE-yone |
| Zion, from | יִשְׁאָ֔ג | yišʾāg | yeesh-Aɡ |
| and utter | וּמִירוּשָׁלִַ֖ם | ûmîrûšālaim | oo-mee-roo-sha-la-EEM |
| his voice | יִתֵּ֣ן | yittēn | yee-TANE |
| from Jerusalem; | קוֹל֑וֹ | qôlô | koh-LOH |
| habitations the and | וְאָֽבְלוּ֙ | wĕʾābĕlû | veh-ah-veh-LOO |
| of the shepherds | נְא֣וֹת | nĕʾôt | neh-OTE |
| shall mourn, | הָרֹעִ֔ים | hārōʿîm | ha-roh-EEM |
| top the and | וְיָבֵ֖שׁ | wĕyābēš | veh-ya-VAYSH |
| of Carmel | רֹ֥אשׁ | rōš | rohsh |
