പട്ടണത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലുള്ള ഇന്ദ്രക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ പുരോഹിതൻ കാളകളെയും പൂമാലകളെയും ഗോപുരത്തിങ്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തോടുകൂടെ യാഗം കഴിപ്പാൻ ഭാവിച്ചു.
