2 Kings 7:12
രാജാവു രാത്രിയിൽ തന്നേ എഴുന്നേറ്റു ഭൃത്യന്മാരോടു: അരാമ്യർ നമ്മോടു ഇച്ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞുതരാം; നാം വിശന്നിരിക്കയാകുന്നു എന്നു അവർ അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടു: അവർ പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിന്നു പുറത്തുവരും; അപ്പോൾ നമുക്കു അവരെ ജീവനോടെ പിടിക്കയും പട്ടണത്തിൽ കടക്കയും ചെയ്യാം എന്നുറെച്ചു അവർ പാളയം വിട്ടുപോയി വയലിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കയാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| what | אֵ֛ת | ʾēt | ate |
| the Syrians | אֲשֶׁר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| have done | עָ֥שׂוּ | ʿāśû | AH-soo |
| know They us. to | לָ֖נוּ | lānû | LA-noo |
| that | אֲרָ֑ם | ʾărām | uh-RAHM |
| we | יָֽדְע֞וּ | yādĕʿû | ya-deh-OO |
| be hungry; | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| out gone they are therefore | רְעֵבִ֣ים | rĕʿēbîm | reh-ay-VEEM |
| of | אֲנַ֗חְנוּ | ʾănaḥnû | uh-NAHK-noo |
| the camp | וַיֵּֽצְא֤וּ | wayyēṣĕʾû | va-yay-tseh-OO |
| themselves hide to | מִן | min | meen |
| in the field, | הַֽמַּחֲנֶה֙ | hammaḥăneh | ha-ma-huh-NEH |
| saying, | לְהֵֽחָבֵ֤ה | lĕhēḥābē | leh-hay-ha-VAY |
| When | בַהשָּׂדֶה֙ | bahśśādeh | va-sa-DEH |
| out come they | לֵאמֹ֔ר | lēʾmōr | lay-MORE |
| of | כִּֽי | kî | kee |
| the city, | יֵצְא֤וּ | yēṣĕʾû | yay-tseh-OO |
| we shall catch | מִן | min | meen |
| alive, them | הָעִיר֙ | hāʿîr | ha-EER |
| and get | וְנִתְפְּשֵׂ֣ם | wĕnitpĕśēm | veh-neet-peh-SAME |
| into | חַיִּ֔ים | ḥayyîm | ha-YEEM |
| the city. | וְאֶל | wĕʾel | veh-EL |
| הָעִ֖יר | hāʿîr | ha-EER | |
| נָבֹֽא׃ | nābōʾ | na-VOH |
