1 Samuel 28:8
ശൌൽ വേഷംമാറി വേറെ വസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു രണ്ടാളെയും കൂട്ടി പോയി രാത്രിയിൽ ആ സ്ത്രീയുടെ അടുക്കൽ എത്തി: വെളിച്ചപ്പാടാത്മാവുകൊണ്ടു നീ എനിക്കായി പ്രശ്നം നോക്കുകയും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നവനെ വരുത്തിത്തരികയും ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

| and he | וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ | wayyēlek | va-YAY-lek |
| went, | ה֗וּא | hûʾ | hoo |
| two and | וּשְׁנֵ֤י | ûšĕnê | oo-sheh-NAY |
| men | אֲנָשִׁים֙ | ʾănāšîm | uh-na-SHEEM |
| with | עִמּ֔וֹ | ʿimmô | EE-moh |
| came they and him, | וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ | wayyābōʾû | va-ya-VOH-oo |
| to | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| the woman | הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה | hāʾiššâ | ha-ee-SHA |
| by night: | לָ֑יְלָה | lāyĕlâ | LA-yeh-la |
| said, he and | וַיֹּ֗אמֶר | wayyōʾmer | va-YOH-mer |
| I pray thee, | קָֽסֳוֹמִי | qāsŏwōmî | KA-soh-oh-mee |

| spirit, familiar the by me unto | לִי֙ | liy | lee |
| up, bring and | בָּא֔וֹב | bāʾôb | ba-OVE |
