1 Kings 20:18
അപ്പോൾ അവൻ: അവർ സമാധാനത്തിന്നു വരുന്നെങ്കിലും അവരെ ജീവനോടെ പിടിപ്പിൻ; അവർ യുദ്ധത്തിന്നു വരുന്നെങ്കിലും അവരെ ജീവനോടെ പിടിപ്പിൻ എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

| Whether | אִם | ʾim | eem |
| out come be they | לְשָׁל֥וֹם | lĕšālôm | leh-sha-LOME |
| for peace, | יָצָ֖אוּ | yāṣāʾû | ya-TSA-oo |
| take | תִּפְשׂ֣וּם | tipśûm | teef-SOOM |
| alive; them | חַיִּ֑ים | ḥayyîm | ha-YEEM |
| or whether | וְאִ֧ם | wĕʾim | veh-EEM |
| out come be they | לְמִלְחָמָ֛ה | lĕmilḥāmâ | leh-meel-ha-MA |
| for war, | יָצָ֖אוּ | yāṣāʾû | ya-TSA-oo |
| take | חַיִּ֥ים | ḥayyîm | ha-YEEM |
| them alive. | תִּפְשֽׂוּם׃ | tipśûm | teef-SOOM |
