ഉച്ചതിരിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഭോജനയാഗം കഴിക്കുന്ന സമയംവരെ അവർ വെളിച്ചപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; എന്നിട്ടും ഒരു ശബ്ദമോ ഉത്തരമോ ശ്രദ്ധയോ ഉണ്ടായില്ല.
