1 Kings 13:24
അവൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ വഴിയിൽ ഒരു സിംഹം അവനെ കണ്ടു അവനെ കൊന്നു; അവന്റെ ശവം വഴിയിൽ കിടന്നു, കഴുത അതിന്റെ അരികെ നിന്നു; സിംഹവും ശവത്തിന്റെ അരികെ നിന്നു.

| and slew | וַיְמִיתֵ֑הוּ | waymîtēhû | vai-mee-TAY-hoo |
| him: and his carcase | וַתְּהִ֤י | wattĕhî | va-teh-HEE |
| was | נִבְלָתוֹ֙ | niblātô | neev-la-TOH |
| cast | מֻשְׁלֶ֣כֶת | mušleket | moosh-LEH-het |
| in the way, | בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ | badderek | ba-DEH-rek |
| and the ass | וְהַֽחֲמוֹר֙ | wĕhaḥămôr | veh-ha-huh-MORE |
| stood | עֹמֵ֣ד | ʿōmēd | oh-MADE |
| by | אֶצְלָ֔הּ | ʾeṣlāh | ets-LA |
| it, the lion | וְהָ֣אַרְיֵ֔ה | wĕhāʾaryē | veh-HA-ar-YAY |
| also stood | עֹמֵ֖ד | ʿōmēd | oh-MADE |
| by | אֵ֥צֶל | ʾēṣel | A-tsel |
| the carcase. | הַנְּבֵלָֽה׃ | hannĕbēlâ | ha-neh-vay-LA |
