Acts 16:12
ಅದು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಪಟ್ಟಣವೂ ವಲಸೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು. ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಕೆಲವು ದಿವಸ ಇದ್ದೆವು.

ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಹಿಂಸೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವಮಾನವು ಮೊದಲು ಸಂಭವಿಸಿದರೂ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಮೂಲಕ ಧೈರ್ಯಗೊಂಡು ಬಹು ವಿರೋಧವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ದೇವರ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆವೆಂಬದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಬಲ್ಲಿರಿ.

ಹುಳಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯ ದಿವಸ ಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾವು ಫಿಲಿಪ್ಪಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಐದು ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತ್ರೋವಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದೆವು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ದಿವಸಗಳಿದ್ದೆವು.

ಆಗ ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೌಲನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ದರ್ಶನವಾಯಿತು; ಏನಂ ದರೆ--ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯ ದೇಶದವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು--ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ನಮಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.

ರೋಮಾಯರಾದ ನಾವು ಒಪ್ಪುವದ ಕ್ಕಾಗಲೀ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಲೀ ನ್ಯಾಯವಲ್ಲದ ಆಚಾರ ಗಳನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಅಂದರು.
