1 Samuel 8:14
ಅವನು ಉತ್ತಮವಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇಪ್ಪೇ ತೋಪುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವನು.

ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನನು ಜನರ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬಲವಂತವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಚದರಿಸಲ್ಪಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.

ಆಗ ಸೌಲನು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಸೇವಕರಿಗೆ--ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ; ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಳಸಂಚು ನಡಿಸು ವಂತೆ ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹೊಲ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೇತೋಟಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡುವನೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸಾವಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ನೂರಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನರಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಡುವನೋ?

ನೀನು ಅವನಿಗೆನೀನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಾ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಾಯಿಗಳು ನಾಬೋತನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನೆಕ್ಕಿದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ನಿನ್ನ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೆಕ್ಕು ವವು ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಂದು ಅಂದನು.
