Ruth 1
1 1 ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಆಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಆ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ಬರ ಉಂಟಾ ಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಆದದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆ ಹೇಮಿನವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡ ತಿಯ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹೋದನು.
2 ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಹೆಸರು ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆ ಕನು; ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಹೆಸರು ನೊವೊಮಿ; ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರ ರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಮಹ್ಲೋ ನನು, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಹೆಸರು ಕಿಲ್ಯೋನನು. ಇವರು ಎಫ್ರಾತ್ಯರಾದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವ ರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಇವರು ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
3 ಆದರೆ ನೊವೊಮಿಯ ಗಂಡನಾದ ಎಲೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಸತ್ತು ಹೋದನು; ಆಕೆಯೂ ಆಕೆಯ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಉಳಿದರು.
4 ಇವರು ಒರ್ಫಾ ರೂತ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿ ಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಸುಮಾರು ಹತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
5 ಮಹ್ಲೋನ ಕಿಲ್ಯೋನ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಸತ್ತುಹೋದರು. ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನನ್ನೂ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಒಬ್ಬಳೇ ಉಳಿದಳು.
6 ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿದನೆಂದು ಅವಳು ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಇದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೊರ ಟಳು.
7 ಅವಳ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸೊಸೆಯರು ಅವಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೊರಟು ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ
8 ನೊವೊಮಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸೊಸೆಯರಿಗೆ ನೀವು ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಾಯಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನೀವು ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೂ ನನಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡಲಿ.
9 ನೀವಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಮದುವೆ ಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದು ವಂತೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟಳು.
10 ಆಗ ಅವರು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತು ಆಕೆಗೆ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತೇವೆ ಅಂದರು.
11 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನೊವೊಮಿಯು ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೇ, ನೀವು ಹಿಂತಿ ರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯಾಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಗಂಡಂದಿರಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಕುಮಾರರು ಇಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ!
12 ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆ ಯರೇ, ನೀವು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನಾನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾಗುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾಯಹೋದ ವಳು. ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ನನಗೆ ಉಂಟೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ನಾನು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ನಾನು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತರೂ
13 ಅವರು ದೊಡ್ಡವ ರಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಕಾದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿರೋ? ಗಂಡನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ತಾಳಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವಿರೋ? ಬೇಡ, ನನ್ನ ಕುಮಾ ರ್ತೆಯರೇ; ಕರ್ತನ ಹಸ್ತವು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ನನಗೆ ಬಹು ದುಃಖವಾಗಿದೆ ಅಂದಳು.
14 ಆಗ ಅವರು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾದ ಸ್ವರದಿಂದ ಅತ್ತರು. ಒರ್ಫಳು ತನ್ನ ಅತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟಳು: ಆದರೆ ರೂತಳು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅಂಟಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
15 ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಓರಗಿತ್ತಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಜನರ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೂ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋದಳು; ನೀನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಓರಗಿತ್ತಿಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಹೋಗು ಅಂದಳು.
16 ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ರೂತಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಮಾಡಬೇಡ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುವಿಯೋ ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬರುವೆನು; ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯೋ ನಾನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರೇ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು.
17 ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾನು ಸತ್ತುಹೂಣಲ್ಪಡುವೆನು. ಮರಣವು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಗಲಿಸದ ಹೊರತು ನಾನು ಅಗಲಿದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿ ಅಂದಳು.
18 ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರಲು ದೃಢವಾದ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾಳೆಂದು ಕಂಡಾಗ ಅವಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದಳು.
19 ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವಾಗ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗದ್ದಲವಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಇವಳು ನೊವೊ ಮಿಯೋ? ಅಂದರು.
20 ಆಗ ಆಕೆಯು ಅವರಿಗೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಮಾರಾ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಿರಿ; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಹು ದುಃಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡಿಸಿದನು.
21 ನಾನು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ ಯಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದೆನು; ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೊವೊಮಿ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವದೇನು ಅಂದಳು.
22 ಹೀಗೆ ನೊವೊಮಿ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶಸ್ಥಳಾದ ರೂತೆಂಬ ತನ್ನ ಸೊಸೆಯ ಸಂಗಡ ಮೋವಾಬ್‌ ದೇಶ ದಿಂದ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಬಂದಳು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಜವೆ ಗೋಧಿಯ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ಕಾಲ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿದಾಗ ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
1 Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem-judah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.
2 And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehem-judah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.
3 And Elimelech Naomi’s husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.
4 And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth: and they dwelled there about ten years.
5 And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman was left of her two sons and her husband.
6 Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the Lord had visited his people in giving them bread.
7 Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.
8 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother’s house: the Lord deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.
9 The Lord grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.
10 And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.
11 And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?
12 Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
13 Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the Lord is gone out against me.
14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.
15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.
19 So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?
20 And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
21 I went out full, and the Lord hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the Lord hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?
22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.
3 సమాధి ద్వారమునుండి మనకొరకు ఆ రాయి యెవడు పొర్లించునని ఒకరితో ఒకరు చెప్పుకొనుచుండిరి.
And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?
4 వారు వచ్చి కన్నులెత్తిచూడగా, రాయి పొర్లింపబడి యుండుట చూచిరి. ఆ రాయి యెంతో పెద్దది.
And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.
5 అప్పుడు వారు సమాధిలో ప్రవేశించి, తెల్లని నిలువుటంగీ ధరించు కొనియున్న యొక పడుచువాడు కుడివైపున కూర్చుండుట చూచి మిగుల కలవరపడిరి.
And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.
6 అందు కతడుకలవర పడకుడి సిలువ వేయబడిన నజరేయుడగు యేసును మీరు వెదకుచున్నారు; ఆయన లేచియున్నాడు, ఇక్కడ లేడు; వారు ఆయనను ఉంచిన స్థలము చూడుడి.
And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
7 మీరు వెళ్లి ఆయన మీకంటె ముందుగా గలిలయలోనికి వెళ్లుచున్నా డనియు, ఆయన మీతో చెప్పినట్టు అక్కడ మీరు ఆయనను చూతురనియు ఆయన శిష్యులతోను పేతురు తోను చెప్పుడనెను.
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.
8 వారు బయటకు వచ్చి, విస్మయము నొంది వణకుచు సమాధియొద్దనుండి పారిపోయిరి; వారు భయపడినందున ఎవనితో ఏమియు చెప్ప లేదు.
And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid.
9 ఆదివారము తెల్లవారినప్పుడు యేసు లేచి, తాను ఏడు దయ్యములను వెళ్లగొట్టిన మగ్దలేనే మరియకు మొదట కనబడెను.
Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils.
10 ఆయనతో ఉండినవారు దుఃఖపడి యేడ్చు చుండగా ఆమె వెళ్లి ఆ సంగతి వారికి తెలియ జేసెను గాని,
And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
11 ఆయన బ్రదికియున్నాడనియు ఆమెకు కనబడె ననియు వారు విని నమ్మకపోయిరి.
And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.
12 ఆ తరువాత వారిలో ఇద్దరు ఒక పల్లెటూరికి నడిచి పోవుచుండగా, ఆయన మారురూపముగలవాడై వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమాయెను.
After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country.
13 వారు వెళ్లి తక్కిన వారికి ఆ సంగతి తెలియజేసిరి గాని, వారు వీరి మాటనైనను నమ్మక పోయిరి.
And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.
14 పిమ్మట పదునొకండుమంది శిష్యులు భోజనమునకు కూర్చున్నప్పుడు ఆయన వారికి ప్రత్యక్షమై, తాను లేచిన తరువాత తన్ను చూచినవారి మాట నమ్మనందున వారి అపనమి్మక నిమిత్తమును హృదయకాఠి న్యము నిమిత్తమును వారిని గద్దించెను.
Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
15 మరియుమీరు సర్వలోకమునకు వెళ్లి సర్వసృష్టికి సువార్తను ప్రకటించుడి.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 నమి్మ బాప్తిస్మము పొందినవాడు రక్షింపబడును; నమ్మని వానికి శిక్ష విధింపబడును.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 నమి్మనవారివలన ఈ సూచక క్రియలు కనబడును; ఏవనగా, నా నామమున దయ్య ములను వెళ్లగొట్టుదురు; క్రొత్త భాషలు మాటలాడు దురు,
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 పాములను ఎత్తి పట్టుకొందురు, మరణకర మైనదేది త్రాగినను అది వారికి హాని చేయదు, రోగుల మీద చేతులుంచినప్పుడు వారు స్వస్థత నొందుదురని వారితో చెప్పెను.
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 ఈలాగు ప్రభువైన యేసు వారితో మాటలాడిన తరువాత పరలోకమునకు చేర్చుకొనబడి, దేవుని కుడి పార్శ్వమున ఆసీనుడయ్యెను.
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 వారు బయలుదేరి వాక్య మంతట ప్రకటించిరి. ప్రభువు వారికి సహకారుడై యుండి, వెనువెంట జరుగుచువచ్చిన2 సూచక క్రియలవలన వాక్యమును స్థిరపరచుచుండెను. ఆమేన్.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
