Genesis 43:27
ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮುದುಕನಾದ ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆಗೆ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಿದೆಯೋ? ಅವನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೋ ಅಂದನು.

ಅರಸ ನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿ ಸಲೂ ಹದರೆಜರನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದದ್ದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಲೂ ತೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಹದೋರಾಮನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರವಾದ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರ ತಾಮ್ರದ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.

ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ತಾನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದದ್ದನ್ನು ಸಾಮಗ್ರಿ ಕಾಯುವವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟು ರಣರಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿದನು.

ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ನಮ್ಮ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಮ್ಮ ವಂಶದ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಕೇಳಿ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಂದೆ ಇನ್ನೂ ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾನೋ? ನಿಮಗೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ಸಹೋದರನು ಇದ್ದಾನೋ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿ ದನು. ಆಗ ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆವು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬನ್ನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವನೆಂದು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯುವದು ಅಂದರು.

ಯೋಸೇಫನು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯು ತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಥ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವೇನೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಫರೋಹನಿಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು ಅಂದನು.

ಯಾಕೋಬನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನೂ ಮಂದೆಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು ಶೆಕೆಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು.
