ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಬರುವ ಲೋಕದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ರುಚಿನೋಡಿ ದವರು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುವದಾದರೆ

ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೋಹಾನನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನೂ ಆದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆಂದು ಹೆರೋದನು ತಿಳಿದವನಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆನೇಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಹೇಳುವದನ್ನು ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದನು.

ಬಂಡೆಯ ನೆಲದವರು ಯಾರಂದರೆ, ಅವರು ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಸಂತೋಷದಿಂದ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸುವರು; ಇವರು ಬೇರಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವದರಿಂದ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲ ನಂಬಿ ಶೋಧನೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋಗುವರು.
