2 Samuel 21:9
ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ಯರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಈ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿಯೂ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದರು. ಜವೆ ಗೋಧಿಯ ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ದಿನದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟರು.

ಆದರೆ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಅವನಿಗೆನಿನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಹೇಗೆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವರಾಗ ಮಾಡಿತೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವಳಾಗುವಳು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಅಗಾಗನನ್ನು ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂಜೂಷವನ್ನು ಒಳಗೆ ತಂದು ದಾವೀದನು ಹಾಕಿಸಿದ ಗುಡಾರದೊಳಗೆ ಅದರ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟ ತರುವಾಯ ದಾವೀದನು ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಮಾ ಧಾನದಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.

ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು ವಿಾಕಳಿಗೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗಿಂತಲೂ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮು ಖದ ಮುಂದೆಯೇ ಆಯಿತು.
2 ಸಮುವೇಲನು 21:6
ನಮಗೆ ಕೇಡುಮಾಡಲು ನೆನಸಿದನೋ ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ನಮಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡಲಿ. ಆಗ ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನು ಆದುಕೊಂಡ ಸೌಲನ ಊರಾದ ಗಿಬೆಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಗಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಾಕು ವೆವು ಅಂದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅರಸನು--ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಂದ ಇದು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಯಿತು. ಅದೇನಂದರೆ, ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತನು ತನ್ನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೇ.
