ಆಗ ಯೋನಾತಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥನಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಈ ಸುನ್ನತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದವರ ಠಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗೋಣ ಬಾ; ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ದೇವರು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಡಿಸುವನು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರಿಂದಾದರೂ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರಿಂದಾದರೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಆಟಂಕವಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದನು.
