ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅರ್ನೋನ್ ನದಿಯಿಂದ ಯಬ್ಬೋಕ್ ನದಿಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇರೆಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇರೆ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳದ್ದಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮಿನ ಜನರು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಅಮ್ಮೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಯಾಕೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋಗಲು ಕರೇಕಳುಹಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ? ನಾವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡುವೆವು ಅಂದರು.

ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಸೀಹೋನನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸಕಲ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರು ಆ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅಮೋರಿಯರ ದೇಶ ವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

Numbers 32:1
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರೂಬೇನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಗಾದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಬಹಳ ಅಧಿಕವಾದ ಪಶುಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು; ಅವರು ಯಗ್ಜೇರೂ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದೂ ಎಂಬ ದೇಶ ಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅಗೋ, ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಪಶುಗಳ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಅಮೋರಿ ಯರ ಮೇರೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರುವ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ಅರ್ನೋನಿನ ಈಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡರು; ಅರ್ನೋನು ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಅಮೋರಿಯರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯವಾದ ಮೋವಾಬಿನ ಮೇರೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
