ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಪಾಳತಿ ನೋಡುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಾ ರೆಂದು ದಕ್ಷಿಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯನಾದ ಅರಾದ್‌ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅರಸನು ಕೇಳಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದನು.
