ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಯೆಹೂದದೊಳಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆ ತುಳಿಯುವದನ್ನೂ ಸಿವುಡುಗಳನ್ನು ತರುವದನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವದನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನೂ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆ ಹಣ್ಣು ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಂಜೂರದ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹೊರೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರುವದನ್ನು ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮಾರುವ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.

ಆಗ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಕೋಟೆಯ ಮುಂದೆ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿರುವದೇನು? ನೀವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕುವೆನು ಅಂದೆನು. ಆ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಅವರು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ;
Exodus 34:21
