ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯ ದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂ ದಲೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು; ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನಂತೆಯೇ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
