Leviticus 17:13
ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿರುವ ಪರಕೀಯನಾದರೂ ತಿನ್ನುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡಿ ಯಾವದೇ ಪಶುವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದರೆ ಅದರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುರಿದು ಅದನ್ನು ಮಣ್ಣಿ ನಿಂದ ಮುಚ್ಚಬೇಕು.

| hunteth | יָצ֜וּד | yāṣûd | ya-TSOOD |
| catcheth and | צֵ֥יד | ṣêd | tsade |
| any beast | חַיָּ֛ה | ḥayyâ | ha-YA |
| or | אוֹ | ʾô | oh |
| fowl | ע֖וֹף | ʿôp | ofe |
| that | אֲשֶׁ֣ר | ʾăšer | uh-SHER |
| may be eaten; | יֵֽאָכֵ֑ל | yēʾākēl | yay-ah-HALE |
| out pour even shall he | וְשָׁפַךְ֙ | wĕšāpak | veh-sha-fahk |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the blood | דָּמ֔וֹ | dāmô | da-MOH |
| cover and thereof, | וְכִסָּ֖הוּ | wĕkissāhû | veh-hee-SA-hoo |
