ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹದವಾದ ಕತ್ತಿಯು ಆತನ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕೋಲಿನಿಂದ ಆಳುವನು. ಆತನು ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಉಗ್ರಕೋಪವೆಂಬ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷೆಯ ತೊಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವದನ್ನು ತುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಆಗ ಆಲಯದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ಮಹಾಶಬ್ದ ವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದೆನು. ಅದು ಆ ಏಳು ಮಂದಿ ದೂತರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರ ರೌದ್ರವನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿತು.

ಅವನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬ ದೂತನು ಬಂದು--ಬಾಬೆಲೆಂಬ ಆ ಮಹಾನಗರಿಯು ಬಿದ್ದಳು, ಬಿದ್ದಳು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಜಾರತ್ವವೆಂಬ ಕೋಪದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಸಕಲ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಕುಡಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದಳು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಆಗ ನಾನು ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತೆನು, ಸಮುದ್ರದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮೃಗವು ಏರಿ ಬರುವದನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏಳು ತಲೆಗಳೂ ಹತ್ತು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳೂ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತು ಕಿರೀಟಗಳೂ ತಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ನಾಮವೂ ಇದ್ದವು.

ಐದನೆಯ ದೂತನು ಊದಿದಾಗ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದ ಒಂದು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಳವಿಲ್ಲದ ತಗ್ಗಿನ ಬೀಗದ ಕೈ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಆ ಕೊಂಬು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಶಬ್ದದ ವಿಷಯ ನಾನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಮೃಗವು ಕೊಲ್ಲ ಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅದರ ಶರೀರವನ್ನು ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿ; ಅದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಉರಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಆದರೆ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಸಭೆಯು ಕುಳಿತು ಅವನ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ಕೊನೆಯ ವರೆಗೂ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವದು.

ತರುವಾಯ ರಾತ್ರಿಯ ದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ ಇಗೋ, ನಾಲ್ಕ ನೆಯ ಮೃಗವು ಭಯಂಕರವಾದದ್ದೂ ಘೋರವಾ ದದ್ದೂ ಬಹಳ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿತ್ತು; ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅದು ತಿಂದು ತುಂಡು ತುಂಡು ಮಾಡಿ ಮಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ತುಳಿಯಿತು. ಅದು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸವುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಹತ್ತು ಕೊಂಬುಗಳುಳ್ಳದ್ದು ಆಗಿತ್ತು.
