1 ದೇವರು ಯೆಹೂದದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಹೆಸರು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿದೆ.
2 ಸಾಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಗುಡಾರವೂ ಚೀಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವೂ ಉಂಟು.
3 ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿನ ಬಾಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಗುರಾಣಿಯನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನೂ ಮುರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಸೆಲಾ.
4 ಬೇಟೆಗಳಿರುವ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನೀನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶವು ಳ್ಳವನೂ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ.
5 ಬಲವಾದ ಹೃದಯ ದವರು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ತೂಕಡಿಸಿ ನಿದ್ರೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗ ಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
6 ಓ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ದೇವರೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ರಥವೂ ಕುದುರೆಯೂ ಗಾಢ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿವೆ.
7 ನೀನು, ನೀನೇ, ಭಯಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತೀ; ನೀನು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಕೋಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವವನಾರು?
8 ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರ್ವಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಮಾಡಿದಿ.
9 ದೇವರು ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಭೂಮಿಯ ದೀನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಏಳುವಾಗ ಭೂಮಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಸ್ತಬ್ಧ ರಾದರು. ಸೆಲಾ.
10 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕೋಪವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವದು; ಕೋಪಶೇಷವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಿಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
11 ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ; ಆತನ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವವ ರೆಲ್ಲರು ಭಯಪಡಿಸುವಾತನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ತರಲಿ.
12 ಆತನು ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕು ತ್ತಾನೆ; ಭೂಮಿಯ ಅರಸುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಂಕರ ನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

2 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
3 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
4 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
5 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
6 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
7 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
8 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
9 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
10 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
11 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
12 Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
13 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.
4 The words of a man’s mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.
5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
6 A fool’s lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.
7 A fool’s mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.
8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
11 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.
13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?
15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.
16 A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.
17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.
18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.
19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.
20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
23 The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.
24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
