ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳು 23

1 ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಕುರುಬನು; ಕೊರತೆಪಡೆನು.

2 ಆತನು ಹಸರುಗಾವಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಂಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಶಾಂತವಾದ ನೀರುಗಳ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

3 ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಪುನರ್ಜೀವಿಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ನೀತಿಯ ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಸರಿನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

4 ಹೌದು, ನಾನು ಮರಣದ ನೆರಳಿನ ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದರೂ ಕೇಡಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡೆನು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದೀ; ನಿನ್ನ ಕೋಲೂ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆದರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

5 ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೇಜನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಎಣ್ಣೆಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸುತ್ತೀ; ನನ್ನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯು ತುಂಬಿ ಹೊರಸೂಸುತ್ತದೆ.

6 ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇತನವೂ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಜೀವನದ ದಿವಸ ಗಳಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವು; ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ವಾಸಮಾಡುವೆನು.

2 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

3 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

4 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

5 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

6 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

7 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
