ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಸುಮ್ಮನಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಾದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಜೀವಸ್ವರೂಪನಾದ ದೇವರ ಆಣೆಯನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
