Judges 7:14
ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟು --ಇದು ಯೋವಾಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಗಿದ್ಯೋನನೆಂಬ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ನ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಕತ್ತಿಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ಯಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರು ಮಿದ್ಯಾನ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದಂಡನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು ಅಂದನು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಿಗೆ ರಥಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಮಹಾಸೈನ್ಯದ ಶಬ್ದವೂ ಕೇಳಲ್ಪಡುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊ ಬ್ಬರು--ಇಗೋ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆದಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡರು.
ಯೆಹೋಶುವ 5:1
ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುವ ಪರಿಯಂತರ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗ ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದನ್ನು ಆಚೇ ದಡದ ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದ್ದ ಅಮೋರಿ ಯರ ಸಕಲ ಅರಸುಗಳೂ ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಆಚೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಸಕಲ ಅರಸುಗಳೂ ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯವು ಕರಗಿಹೋಯಿತು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಹೋದಂತೆ ಆಯಿತು.
ಯೆಹೋಶುವ 2:24
ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ--ನಿಶ್ಚಯ ವಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ಆ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ದೇಶದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ನಮ್ಮ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕಂಗೆಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಆಗ ಬಾಲಾಕನು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದೆನು; ಆದರೆ ಇಗೋ, ನೀನು ಈ ಮೂರುಸಾರಿ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸೇ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದಿ.

ಇಗೋ, ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸು ವದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಆತನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿ ಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಅದನ್ನು ಬದಲು ಮಾಡುವದ ಕ್ಕಾಗದು.

ಕರ್ತನು ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಅವನಿಗೆನೀನು ಬಾಲಾಕನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

ಬಿಳಾಮನು ಬಾಲಾಕನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು--ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಈಗ ಏನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಯಾವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಾದರೂ ಇದೆಯೋ? ನನ್ನಿಂದಾಗುವದೋ? ದೇವರು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಆಡಿಸಿದ ಮಾತನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುವೆನು.

ಜನರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಭಯಪಡುವರು; ದುಃಖವು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವದು.
