Judges 21:2
ಆದದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ದೇವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅತ್ತು--

ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎದ್ದು ದೇವರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗ ಬೇಕಾ ದವರು ಯಾರೆಂದು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನು -- ಯೊಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರು ಮೊದಲು ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 27:38
ಏಸಾವನು ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಗೆ--ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯೇ, ಆ ಒಂದೇ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ನಿನಗೆ ಇದೆಯೋ? ತಂದೆಯೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಹೌದು, ನನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸು ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿ ಅತ್ತನು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಭೆಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸಭೆಯ ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ದೇಶವು ಅವರ ವಶವಾಯಿತು.

ಕರ್ತನ ದೂತನು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳುವಾಗ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವರವೆತ್ತಿ ಅತ್ತರು.

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನು--ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಅಂದನು). ಎರಡನೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮನು ಷ್ಯರು ಬೆನ್ಯಾವಿಾನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೆ ಯಾಬೇಷ್ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಲಗುವದರಿಂದ ಪುರುಷರನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದೆ ಇರುವ ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರಾಯದ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಕೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಾನಾನ್ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೀಲೋ ವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದರು.
