ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾವನಾದ ಕೇನ್ಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಖರ್ಜೂರ ಗಿಡಗಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಯೂದನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಸಂಗಡ ಅರಾದಿಗೆ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕಿರುವ ಯೂದದ ಅರಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಜನರ ಸಂಗಡ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು.

ಕೇನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅವನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲ್ಯರು ಐಗುಪ್ತದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ನೀವು ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ದಯೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾಶಮಾಡದ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವು ಅವರ ಮಧ್ಯ ದಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕೇನ್ಯರು ಅಮಾಲೇಕ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದರು.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾವನು ನೋಡಿ ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಇದೇನು ಜನರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಾಡುವದು? ಯಾಕೆ ನೀನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಕೂತಿರಲಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಬೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಅಂದನು.
ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 18:12
ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾವನಾದ ಇತ್ರೋವನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನೂ ಯಜ್ಞ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಆರೋನನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಭೋಜನ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದರು.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿ ಮುದ್ದಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ಕ್ಷೇಮ ಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು ಗುಡಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು.

ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 4:18
ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನಾದ ಇತ್ರೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಜೀವದಿಂದಿರುವರೋ ಎಂದು ನೋಡುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಇತ್ರೋನನು ಮೋಶೆಗೆ--ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಹೋಗು ಅಂದನು.
ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 3:1
ಮೋಶೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮಾವನಾಗಿರುವ ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿನ ವೈದಿಕನಾದ ಇತ್ರೋವನ ಮಂದೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅರಣ್ಯದ ಹಿಂಭಾ ಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡುಹೋಗಿ ಹೋರೇಬ್ ಎಂಬ ದೇವರ ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು.
