ಸಮಾ ಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡೆವು, ಒಳ್ಳೇದೇನೂ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿದ್ದೆವು; ಇಗೋ, ಕಳ ವಳವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಜನರ ಮಗಳ ಗಾಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಮಾಡಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನವಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವಾಗ--ಸಮಾಧಾನ, ಸಮಾ ಧಾನ ಎಂದನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಟ್ಟರೋ?

ಮಾರೋತಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಒಳ್ಳೇದಕ್ಕೆ ಜಾಗ್ರತೆಯಾಗಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆದರೆ ಕೇಡು ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಲಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದಿದೆ.

ಆದರೆ--ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿಯೂ ಇರುತ್ತೇ ವೆಂದು ಜನರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಶನವು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆ ಬರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಬರುವದು; ಅವರು ಹೇಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರರು.
