Jeremiah 11:2
ಯೆಹೂದದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಸಂಗ ಡಲೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದ ದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--

ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೂ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಜನರಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅರಸ ನಿಗೂ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಅರಸನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯೆರೂ ಸಲೇಮಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳೂ ಹಿರಿಕಿರಿಯರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು. ಅವರು ಕೇಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಮಾತುಗಳನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನು ಓದಿದನು.

ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಜನರಾಗಿರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನು ತನಗೂ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಅರಸ ನಿಗೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಈಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಉಗ್ರಕೋಪವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದಲೂ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಾಣದಿಂದಲೂ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೂ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿದ್ದ ದಾಸರ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ತಂದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಮಾಡಿ
