Isaiah 46:1
1 ಬೇಲ್(ದೇವತೆಯು)ಬೊಗ್ಗಿದೆ, ನೆಬೋ (ದೇವತೆಯು) ಕುಗ್ಗಿದೆ; ಅವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳು ಮೃಗಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದ್ದವು, ನೀವು ಹೊರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವುಗಳು ಭಾರವಾದ ಹೊರೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಆಯಾಸವುಳ್ಳ ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವು ಭಾರವಾದವು.

ಇಗೋ, ಸವಾರರು ಜೋಡಿ ಜೋಡಿಯಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರ ವಾಗಿ--ಬಾಬೆಲ್ ಬಿತ್ತು, ಆದರೆ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದು ನೆಲಸಮ ಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

ಅವು ಖರ್ಜೂರ ಮರದಂತೆ ನೆಟ್ಟಗೆ ಇವೆ. ಅವು ಮಾತನಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದು, ಅವು ನಡೆಯಲಾರವು. ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯ ಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಅವು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾರವು ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇದು ಮಾಡುವದು ಸಹ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ--ಧೈರ್ಯ ವಾಗಿರ್ರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಿ.

ಆದರೆ ಅಷ್ಡೋದ್ಯರು ಮಾರನೆ ದಿವಸ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ದಾಗೋನ್ ಕರ್ತನ ಮಂಜೂಷದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೋರಲು ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು.
