Hosea 2:17
ಬಾಳ್ ದೇವತೆಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವಳ ಬಾಯಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವೆನು; ಅವು ಇನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೆಸರಿನಿಂದ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕ ಮಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಬೇರೆ ದೇವ ರಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ತ್ವರೆಪಡುವವರ ವ್ಯಥೆಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗು ವವು. ಅವರ ರಕ್ತದ ಅರ್ಪಣೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಅರ್ಪಿ ಸುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ತುಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎತ್ತೆನು.

ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕರ್ತನು--ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ನಾನು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳನ್ನು ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡುವೆನು; ಅವು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನೂ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ನೀವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು--ಆಕಾಶ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸದ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದಲೂ ಈ ಆಕಾಶಗಳ ಕೆಳಗಿ ನಿಂದಲೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವವು.
