Genesis 34:1
ಲೇಯಳು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಹೆತ್ತ ಮಗಳಾದ ದೀನಳು ದೇಶದ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನು ನೋಡುವ ದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋದಳು.

ಇಸಾಕನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಪದ್ದನ್ ಅರಾಮಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಇಸಾಕನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನೂ
ಆದಿಕಾಂಡ 30:13
ಆಗ ಲೇಯಳು--ನಾನು ಧನ್ಯಳಾದೆನು. ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಧನ್ಯಳೆಂದು ಕರೆಯು ವರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಆಶೇರ್ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟಳು.

ಇವರು ಲೇಯಳ ಮಕ್ಕಳು. ಆಕೆಯು ಇವರನ್ನೂ ತನ್ನ ಮಗಳಾದ ದೀನಳನ್ನೂ ಪದ್ದನ್ ಅರಾಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ಹೆತ್ತಳು. ಅವನ ಕುಮಾರರೂ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಮೂರು ಮಂದಿ.

ವಿವೇಕವುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಪತಿವ್ರತೆಯರೂ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯವರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡಂದಿ ರಿಗೆ ವಿಧೇಯರೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳು.
