ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ನಾನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕೊನೆಗಾಣಿಸುವೆನು.

ಆದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ದವಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ನದಿಗಳ ವಿಾನುಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನು ಚಿಪ್ಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ನದಿಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಳೆದು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಾನುಗಳು ಚಿಪ್ಪುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಂಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ನದಿಗಳ ವಿಾನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುವೆನು; ನೀನು ಬಯಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವಿ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವದು ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸೇರಿಸುವದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ತೋಳು ಗಳನ್ನು ನಾನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನಿಡುವೆನು; ಫರೋಹನ ತೋಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯುವೆನು, ಅವನು ಗಾಯದಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನರಳಾಡುವನು.
