ತರುವಾಯ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗಿ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ಫರೋಹನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಚಾಚಿದನು. ಆಗ ಗುಡುಗುಗಳೂ ಆನೆಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯೂ ನಿಂತುಹೋದವು. ಇನ್ನು ಮಳೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.
