Exodus 37:17
ಅವನು ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬಂಗಾರದ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದನು; ಆ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಅವನು ನಕ್ಷೆಯ ಕೆಲಸಮಾಡಿದ ಅಚ್ಚಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಡಿದು ತಯಾರಿಸಿದನು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಶುದ್ಧ ಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಆ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭವನ್ನು ನಕ್ಷೆಯ ಕೆಲಸದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅದರ ಕಂಬವೂ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳೂ ಹಣತೆ ಗಳೂ ಗುಂಡುಗಳೂ ಪುಷ್ಪಗಳೂ ಅದರಂತೆಯೇ ಇರ ಬೇಕು.

ಅವರು ಪ್ರತಿ ಉದಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸುಗಂಧ ಧೂಪವನ್ನೂ ಸುಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ಮೇಜಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳನ್ನು ಇಡುವದುಂಟು; ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಗಾರದ ದೀಪಸ್ಥಂಭವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ದೀಪ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿ ಹಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಆತನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಇಗೋ, ದೇವರು ತಾನೇ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದಾನೆ.

ಬಂಗಾರದ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕ ರವೂ ಅದರ ಬಂಗಾರದ ದೀಪಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಸ್ತಂಭಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೀಪ ಸ್ತಂಭಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ದೀಪಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ದೀಪ ಸ್ತಂಭದ ಕೆಲಸದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
ಯಾಜಕಕಾಂಡ 24:4
ದೀಪಗಳು ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ದೀಪಸ್ತಂಭದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಇರುವಂತೆ ಅವನು ಕ್ರಮಪಡಿಸಬೇಕು.
