Exodus 30:15
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತರು ಅರೆ ಶೆಕೆಲಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೊಡಬಾರದು. ಬಡವನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು.

ನೀನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಲೆಕ್ಕವನ್ನು ಅದರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿದಾಗ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಧಿ ಉಂಟಾಗದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿ ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣದ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಯ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು.
ಯಾಜಕಕಾಂಡ 17:11
ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ದೇಹಿಗೂ ರಕ್ತವೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಾಧಾರ. ಅಂಥ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ನೀವು ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಗೆ ಎರಚಿ ನಿಮ ಗೋಸ್ಕರ ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ರಕ್ತವು ಪ್ರಾಣಾಧಾರ ವಾಗಿರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಅದರಿಂದ ದೋಷಪರಿಹಾರ ವಾಗುತ್ತದಷ್ಟೆ.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸಮ್ಮುಖದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದಂಥ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಆಭರಣಗಳಾದ ಸರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಡಗಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉಂಗುರಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಾಲೆ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪದಕಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ತಂದಿ ದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ದಾವೀದನು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ಯರಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡ ಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇನು? ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತ ಮಾಡಲಿ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

ಆತನು ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಮುಖದಾಕ್ಷಿಣ್ಯ ನೋಡು ವನೋ? ಧನಿಕನನ್ನು ಬಡವನಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದು ಲಕ್ಷಿ ಸುವನೋ? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಆತನ ಕೈ ಕೆಲಸ ವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆದರೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕದ್ದನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪಕ್ಷಪಾತವಿಲ್ಲ.
