ಮೊದಲು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಕತ್ತೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕುರಿಮರಿ ಯಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ಹಾಗೆ ವಿಮೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡದೆಹೋದರೆ ಅದರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಮುರಿಯಬೇಕು. ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಗಂಡುಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೀನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಕತ್ತೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ಭ ತೆರೆಯುವಂಥದ್ದನ್ನು ಕುರಿಮರಿ ಯಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು. ನೀನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅದರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯಬೇಕು. ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸ ಬೇಕು. ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರೂ ಬರೀಗೈಯಿಂದ ಕಾಣಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.
ಅರಣ್ಯಕಾಂಡ 18:15
ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಪಶುಗಳ ಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ತರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರೀರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದದ್ದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನದಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ಆದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಪಶುಗಳ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲಾದದ್ದನ್ನೂ ನೀನು ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಬೇಕು.
ವಿಮೋಚನಕಾಂಡ 12:3
ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಭೆಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀವು ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದದ್ದೇ ನಂದರೆ--ಈ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಕುರಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ತಂದೆಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮನೆಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕುರಿಮರಿಯನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಆಗ ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಿರಿಯ ರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಿಮ್ಮ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕುರಿಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನು (ಕುರಿಯನ್ನು) ಕೊಯ್ಯಿರಿ.
