ಪ್ರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅರಸನ ಮಾತೂ ಅವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯೂ ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂತೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವೂ ಆನಂದವೂ ಹಬ್ಬವೂ ಸುದಿನವೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಆ ದೇಶದ ಅನೇಕ ಜನರು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ರಾದರು. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಭಯವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಇತ್ತು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಈ ಪತ್ರದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ವಾರ್ತೆಗಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅವರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ತಮಗೆ ಸಂಭ ವಿಸಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೊಸ್ಕರವೂ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು, ತಾವೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಂತಾನದವರೂ ತಮಗೆ ಸೇರಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರುಷ ನೇಮಕದ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಈ ಎರಡು ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಸ್ಥಿರಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಎಸ್ತೇರಳು 9:22
ಏನಂದರೆ, ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದರು. ಆ ತಿಂಗಳು ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಸಂತೋಷಕ್ಕೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಸುದಿನಕ್ಕೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹಬ್ಬದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಸಂತೋಷದ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಡವ ರಿಗೆ ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ ದಿವಸಗಳಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂಬದು.

ಅದೇ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹ ಷ್ವೇರೋಷನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಹುಡುಕುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಲು ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಗ ಅವರ ಭಯವು ಸಮಸ್ತ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಇದೇ ದಿವಸ ಆಕಾಶವೆಲ್ಲಾದರ ಕೆಳಗಿರುವ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಭಯವನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಲಾರಂಭಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಿನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಡುಗಿ ಅಂಜುವರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ಕೊಬ್ಬಿದ್ದನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ಸಿಹಿ ಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಕೊಡಿರಿ. ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಈ ದಿನವು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕರ್ತನ ಆನಂದವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಲವಾಗಿರು ವದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ವ್ಯಥೆಪಡಬೇಡಿರಿ.
