Deuteronomy 28:25
ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆದುಬಿಡುವನು; ನೀನು ಒಂದೇ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಏಳು ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಚದರಿ ಹೋಗುವಿ.

ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವರು ಒಂದೇ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು ಏಳು ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವರು.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವರು. ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಯ್ಯ ಲ್ಪಡುವರು;ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಕಾಲಗಳು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣ ವಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮು ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳಿಂದ ತುಳಿದಾಡಲ್ಪಡುವದು.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೂ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವದರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ನನಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಕತ್ತಿ, ಬರ, ಜಾಡ್ಯ ಇವುಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಭೂಮಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಹಾಕುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.

ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ಷಾಮ ದಿಂದಲೂ ಜಾಡ್ಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಪಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಸ್ಮಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಿಳ್ಳಿಡುವಿಕೆಗೂ ನಿಂದೆಗೂ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡುವೆನು.
ಯೆರೆಮಿಯ 15:2
ಅವರು ನಿನಗೆ--ನಾವು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ, ನೀನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ--ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಮರಣಕ್ಕೆ; ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ; ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಇರುವವರು ಕ್ಷಾಮಕ್ಕೆ, ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಇರು ವವರು ಸೆರೆಗೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು.

ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರಾರು ಉಳಿದು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ದೇಶದ ಲ್ಲಿರುವರೋ ಅವರ ಹೃದಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧೈರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವೆನು; ಬಡಿದಾಡುವ ಎಲೆಯ ಶಬ್ದವು ಅವರನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸುವದು, ಕತ್ತಿಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋದ ಹಾಗೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗು ವರು; ಓಡಿಸುವವನಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೀಳುವರು.
