Deuteronomy 23:19
ನಿನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನಿಗೆ ಹಣವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಊಟವ ನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ಯಾವದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು.

ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಉಪದ್ರಪಡಿಸದೆ, ಸಾಲ ಮಾಡಿದವನ ಒತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ, ಸುಲಿಗೆ ಮಾಡದೆ, ಹಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಮತ್ತು ಬೆತ್ತಲೆ ಯಿರುವವನಿಗೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ,

ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಲಾಭ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನು ಬದುಕುವನೋ? ಅವನು ಬದುಕುವದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವನು ಈ ಅಸಹ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ; ಅವನು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಯುವನು ಅವನ ರಕ್ತವು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಇರುವದು.

ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ತ ಚೆಲ್ಲುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಲಂಚತಿಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಬಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನೂ ಲಾಭವನ್ನೂ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ದುರ್ಲಾಭಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟಿ ದ್ದಾರೆಂದು ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಯಾರಿಂದ ತಿರಿಗಿ ಪಡಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿರೋ ಅಂಥವರಿಗೆ ಸಾಲಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ನಿಮಗೇನು ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆ ಬಂದೀತು? ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ಸಹ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ತಾವು ಕೊಟ್ಟಷ್ಟು ತಿರಿಗಿ ಪಡೆಯುವಂತೆ ಪಾಪಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಲ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
