Acts 28:3
ಪೌಲನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಗೆಯ ಹೊರೆಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಆ ಕಾವಿನ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದ ಒಂದು ವಿಷ ಸರ್ಪವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿತು.

ಆ ವಿಷಜಂತು ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಜೋತಾಡುವದನ್ನು ಆ ಅನಾಗರಿಕರು ನೋಡಿ--ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡರೂ ಪ್ರತೀಕಾರವು ಇವನನ್ನು ಬದುಕಗೊಡಿಸು ವದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇವನು ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ಕೊಲೆ ಪಾತಕನು ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.
