Acts 28:11
ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೀತಕಾಲ ಕಳೆದ ನಂತರ ಅಶ್ವಿನೀ ದೇವತೆಯ ಚಿನ್ಹೆ ಇದ್ದ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರಿಯದ ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ನಾವು ಹೊರಟೆವು.

ಆಗ ಹಡಗಿನವರು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನು ತನ್ನ ತನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಕೂಗಿ ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಹಗುರ ಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು; ಆದರೆ ಯೋನನು ಹಡಗಿನ ಒಳಗೆ ಇಳಿದುಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಗಾಢ ನಿದ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ದನು.

ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಬಹಳ ವಾಗಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಬಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಆಗ ಲಿಬೆರ್ತೀನ ಎಂಬ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕುರೇನ್ಯ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರಿಯ ಕಿಲಿಕ್ಯ ಆಸ್ಯದವರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರ ದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಎದ್ದು ಸ್ತೆಫನನೊಂದಿಗೆ ತರ್ಕ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವದರ ವಿಷ ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹೇಳುವದೇನಂದರೆ, ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಗ್ರಹವು ಏನೂ ಅಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ದೇವರಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೆ ದೇವರಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದೂ ನಾವು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು.
