Leviticus 20:23
ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಂತೆ ನೀವು ನಡೆಯಬಾರದು; ಅವರು ಇಂಥವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಸಹ್ಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ.

ಆದದರಿಂದ ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ಮೊದಲಿನವರು ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಆಚರಣೆ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನೀವು ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹೊಲೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಂತೆ ನೀವು ನನ್ನ ಕಟ್ಟಳೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ.

(ನಿಮ್ಮೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಆ ದೇಶದವರು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು, ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶವೂ ಹೊಲೆಯಾಯಿತು;)
