ಯೆಹೂದವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇಶವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಡೆಯ ವರ್ತಕರಾಗಿ ಮಿನ್ನೀಥಿನ ಗೋಧಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕಂಡಸಕ್ಕರೆ, ಜೇನು, ಎಣ್ಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಗಂಧ ತೈಲ ದಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬ ನೋನಿನಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀನು ನನಗೆ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಪ್ಪವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಸಮುದ್ರದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಚೆಯನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುವಿ ಅಂದನು.

ಆಗ ಅವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನು ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನೀವು ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿರಿ, ಈ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಾಮಾನು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಕೆ ಯಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತೈಲ, ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜೇನು, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ, ಅಕ್ರೋಡು ಬಾದಾಮಿ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ.
