ಅವ ರಿಗೆ--ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಲಿ; ನೀವೇ ಫರೋಹನ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಅವನ ದಾಸರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅವರು ಹೇಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದಿರಿ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀವು ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರಿ ಅಂದರು.

ಆಕೀಷನು ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ--ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇವನು ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನನ್ನ ದಾಸನಾಗಿ ರುವನು ಅಂದನು.

ಮೋಶೆಯು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ದಾಗ ಅವರು ಮನೋವೇದನೆಯ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಕ್ರೂರವಾದ ದಾಸತ್ವದ ದೆಸೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವವರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಾವು ದೇವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಪರಿಮಳವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.

ಸತ್ತ ನೊಣಗಳು ವೈದ್ಯನ ತೈಲವನ್ನು ದುರ್ವಾಸನೆಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಮೂಢತನವು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಘನಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯ ನಾದವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕರ್ತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ದರ್ಶಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಕಟವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಅವರು ಕೇಳಿದಾಗ ತಲೆಬಾಗಿಸಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರು.
